Thank you for signing up for our Open House. Here is some information to get the most out of the event.
The Salvation Army is at 3335 Sherman Avenue NW.
If you are coming by Metro, it is a short walk from either the Georgia Avenue Petworth or the Columbia Heights metro station on the Green line.
If you are driving, please allow for additional time to park on the streets and walk over. There is no public parking lot nearby.
Meet at the Southeast Corner of Sherman Avenue and Morton Street at the Skate Fitness banner, pictured above.
Call or text me, Skate Coach Andrew, at 410-394-9483 and I will come out to bring you into the indoor gym.
If you are a little more adventurous, you can go east on Morton Street to the Salvation Army building side entrance, just before the fenced in parking lot. There is a good chance we'll have a giant blue inflatable skate wedged in the door to enable you to come inside.
Unfortunately none of the buzzers work.
Bring your skates a helmet (a bike helmet will do), and the protective pads you have.
We'll have loaner protective gear and skates for the event if you need them.
Be sure to wear clothes that are comfortable for a workout. Jeans are a challenge. Sweats are your friend.
We'll do a combination of working out, working on our balance, learning to skate, moving to music, moving around cones, and rolling around to wind down.
Wether you've skated or not, we'll have a little bit of something for everybody.
Looking forward to seeing you there! If you need me for anything, I can be reached by text or voice at 410-394-9483 -- Skate Coach Andrew.
